Do you work with people with dementia? Would you like to learn how music can help?

This course has been developed for individuals wishing to incorporate music in to their daily practice and further their own professional development. If you are a care professional and you would like to learn how music can help, join us at our training morning to learn new skills and meet like-minded people.

Who should attend?

Anyone working with people living with dementia in a health or social care setting: doctors, dentists, nurses, activity coordinators, care assistants, home-care workers, ancillary staff or allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, optometrists, audiologists, chiropodists.

What will I learn?

By the end of the three hour session you will:

  • Understand what personal music is, why it works and what the benefits can be for people living with dementia
  • Have learned and practised ‘Music Detective’ skills to find the right music for an individual
  • Have developed a plan to start using personal music yourself in your work

All those attending will receive a comprehensive manual and a certificate.

Full price rate: £125 per person
Early bird rate: £95 per person (available until ***DATE***)
Low-wage or unwaged rate: £45 per person

Terms and conditions

Training sessions are for 6 to 16 delegates. If less than 6 bookings are made the training may be cancelled at short notice. You will be able to book onto another event or receive a full refund on request.
