This course has been developed for individuals wishing to incorporate music in to their daily practice and further their own professional development. If you are a care professional and you would like to learn how music can help, join us at our training morning to learn new skills and meet like-minded people.

Who should attend?
Anyone working with people living with dementia in a health or social care setting: doctors, dentists, nurses, activity coordinators, care assistants, home-care workers, ancillary staff or allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, optometrists, audiologists, chiropodists.
What will I learn?
By the end of the three hour session you will:
- Understand what personal music is, why it works and what the benefits can be for people living with dementia
- Have learned and practised ‘Music Detective’ skills to find the right music for an individual
- Have developed a plan to start using personal music yourself in your work
All those attending will receive a comprehensive manual and a certificate.

Training sessions are for 6 to 16 delegates. If less than 6 bookings are made the training may be cancelled at short notice. You will be able to book onto another event or receive a full refund on request.
